British Birds

British Birds is a monthly journal for all keen birdwatchers. We publish articles on a wide variety of topics, including behaviour, conservation, distribution, identification, status and taxonomy. Our contributors include both professional and amateur ornithologists, and content is always abreast of current ideas and thinking, yet written in a clear and simple style which is easy to interpret.

BB is regarded as THE journal of record in Britain, and we publish the annual reports of the Rarities Committee and the Rare Breeding Birds Panel.

We rely on YOU to help us keep up-to-date – see our Guidelines for contributors (features menu) for more details of what type of observations we might publish.

The 2005 BBRC Annual Report will be published in two parts this year (and for this year only), in the January and February 2007 issues of BB. Non-passerines will appear in January, passerines in February. Each issue will be available at a cost of £10.00, and you can order online or call 01424 755155 now to place your order. Note that the 2006 rarities report will also appear in the 2007 volume, and that an annual subscription will cost little more than buying the rarities reports alone!
