Impacts of HPAI on seabird populations detectable in sea-watch counts

A new study in Bird Study (https://bit.ly/3WLOwmQ) has detailed declines in abundance of four seabird species, with the declines corresponding to outbreaks of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) and which were substantial enough that they were detected by sea-watching counts during autumn migration.
